It seems that The InGenuity Group is picking up steam as a go-to source for informed SR&ED opinions. On February 16, company co-founder Elizabeth Lance was featured in an Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ) article about the recent buzz surrounding proposed changes to the SR&ED program.
The article, “Labouring over R&D“, deals with the much-discussed Jenkins report, placing emphasis on one of the report’s most contentious recommendations: turning SR&ED into a repayable government loan, rather than keeping it as a refundable tax credit.
In her interview, Elizabeth spoke out against this proposed change. She highlighted the negative impact this would have on innovative companies and the SR&ED program as a whole.
Elizabeth’s contribution to the OBJ’s “Labouring over R&D” article makes it clear that this SR&ED Maven is staking out a claim for herself in the SR&D world. In January, Elizabeth was also interviewed about SR&ED for the CBC World Report program (read more about this interview here).
Keep checking back with the InGenuity Group blog throughout 2012 to keep track of our involvement with the SR&ED community.
